Our programs are designed to build a connection between participants and the natural beauty of the Mississippi River. We offer programming in schools, on the shore and on the water.
Our educators can deliver hands on lessons about the Mississippi River for your class your youth group. Lessons are aligned to Arkansas and Mississippi State standards.
Meet the Mississippi – Day trips
Groups have the chance to meet the Mississippi up close and personal. A short canoe trip will take you to a secluded island or beach along the river which becomes our classroom for the day. Or stay on shore and we can explore the river from the riverbank.
Dive Deeper – Overnight Trips
Spending one night on an island in the Mississippi gives your group the opportunity to immerse themselves in nature. Along with lessons on Mississippi River history and ecology, groups will learn basic wilderness and camping skills.
Over the course of five-days, high school students develop their leadership and teamwork skills as they travel 100 miles of the Mississippi River. This truly immersive experience challenges youth to step outside their everyday lives to become part of a crew on a river voyage.
Delta Adventure Day Camp
Spend a week exploring the Mississippi River by bike, foot and canoe. Each day we’ll visit a new spot along the river and experience it in a new way. Open to elementary and middle school students.
